An ApplicationThis is the only example of real witchcraft recorded in the Bible. Saul was already doomed, and then he did something explicitly forbidden by God just to get God's (Samuel's) advice. Not Saul's best moment. Humanly speaking we can sympathize with Saul, but we can also be intentional to do better, in order to get better results than he did. And remember, his primary sin which led to all the others was not taking God and His word seriously enough. Do better.

Connect the DotsIn 1SA 28:22, she's probably saying "I don't want your destruction to happen inside my house, because it would be destroyed along with you, please leave." / In 1SA 28:25, they left that same night, but they had left their original camp after dark (1SA 28:8).
